The conversion and extension of a 2 bedroom chalet bungalow into a spacious and light 4 double bedroom family home in Surrey. The works included doubling the internal floor area by building an entire new floor on top of the existing ground floor, a rear extension, landscape works and a new driveway. The existing walls and footings of the house were reused and the new floor is formed in a highly insulted timber construction with timber cladding, reducing the embodied carbon of new materials as far as possible.
